A strategic recruitment initiative
The ÑÇÖÞ91ÊÓƵ Diversity Faculty Awards (DDFA) program is a recruitment initiative designed to increase the number of faculty members from historically underrepresented groups. The program was introduced in 2011 in partnership with the ÑÇÖÞ91ÊÓƵ Faculty Association and augmented through collective bargaining. Â
The program supports and encourages diversity in faculty hiring by paying up to half of a faculty salary for three to five years from the Academic Initiatives Fund.
To date, ÑÇÖÞ91ÊÓƵ has welcomed 24 new faculty members through the DDFA initiative:
