ÑÇÖÞ91ÊÓƵ University has been engaged in collective bargaining with Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) Local 86001, which represents the university's Postdoctoral Fellow employees.Â
In late fall, the parties reached an impasse and the PSAC bargaining unit held a vote asking members to accept the university’s final offer or to take strike action. PSAC members voted to take strike action.
Fortunately, the parties have agreed to delay any labour disruption. We will return to the bargaining table in the new year. We remain optimistic that we will be able to reach a mutually agreeable resolution.
PSAC Local 86001 represents ÑÇÖÞ91ÊÓƵ’s Postdoctoral Fellow employees. There are approximately 130 Postdoctoral Fellow Employees working in all academic faculties at ÑÇÖÞ91ÊÓƵ.
